Roman Reigns addresses the rumours he was kept apart from Cody Rhodes on set.

Earlier this month, Cody Rhodes told Chris Van Vliet that he had only one interaction with Roman Reigns while on set for ‘Street Fighter’ after the pair were kept apart, adding that their relationship is “very strange”.

Speaking to TMZ Sports, Roman Reigns addressed those claims and stated that the rumour was that Cody Rhodes had requested they be kept apart on set.

“I heard that, and the rumor is that he was requesting that. He was a little nervous that I was showing up because he got there before me and there was only a couple days of crossover. You know what it is. Tribal Chief comes to town, he gets a little nervous. He don’t know what to do.”

‘Street Fighter’ is scheduled to be released in the United States by Paramount Pictures on October 16, 2026, with Cody Rhodes portraying Guile, while Roman Reigns appears on the big screen as Akuma.

Cody Rhodes is set to defend the WWE Championship against Randy Orton, the winner of Elimination Chamber, at WrestleMania 42, although WWE reportedly discussed plans for him to face Roman Reigns in a Hell in a Cell match at the event. You can read more about that here.

After outlasting 29 other WWE Superstars at the Royal Rumble on January 31, Roman Reigns will instead challenge CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 42.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on future plans for Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes as soon as we hear more.
