Karl Anderson: Dominik Mysterio Is A Future WWE World Champion
Karl Anderson has high praise for Dominik Mysterio.
In recent memory, few have had a rise to prominence quite like Dominik Mysterio. At just 28 years ago, the second-generation wrestler plays a key role both WWE and AAA as he continues to gain experience as a performer. With plenty of career ahead of him, a former RAW Tag Team Champion has tipped Mysterio to become a world champion in future.
Speaking to TMZ’s Inside The Ring, Karl Anderson recalled thinking Dominik Mysterio was a future world champion after The Good Brothers had worked with The Judgment Day on live events.
“Dude, Dominik is a… I said it even back then, when he first started. I wasn’t sure when he was a babyface and he was just getting moving. But then when we worked with him and The Judgment Day, we got on the road with him. We were doing live events with him. And it was like immediately then though, I can’t believe that now that’s four years ago. I said, ‘Dude, Dom’s a future World Champion and there’s no way he’s not gonna be.’ He’s too good. He’s too smart. He’s too respectful. He listens. He takes advice and actually does it. He doesn’t just take the advice and have it go one ear out. He actually listens and changes and does what he’s told and puts to practice what he hears. It’s amazing to watch Dom, what he’s turned into.”

Mysterio is the current AAA Mega Champion having retained the title against El Hijo Del Vikingo at March 15’s Rey De Reyes event. Since WWE’s acquisition of the company in April 2025, the Judgment Day member has arguably been the most successful star to crossover from RAW and SmackDown to the Mexican promotion.
As for what’s next, all signs point towards Mysterio taking on Finn Bálor at WrestleMania 42 after ‘The Prince’ split from The Judgment Day on the March 9 edition of RAW. After the group’s attack, Bálor returned this past week to cost his former stablemate the chance to reclaim the Intercontinental Championship.
