Becky Lynch Says The Door Is Open For Mercedes Moné To Return To WWE

Becky Lynch has addressed whether there’s more for the four horsewomen to do in WWE.
Known as the four horsewomen, Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, and Bayley all came through NXT together at a time in which women’s wrestling was starting to grow in WWE. As they progressed on the main roster, the quartet amassed 30 world championships between them, although many fans still wish they’d shared the ring in a fatal four-way match. Now, ‘The Man’ has addressed whether there’s unfinished business between WWE’s horsewomen.
Appearing on Cheap Heat, Lynch acknowledged that only three of the horsewomen are currently with WWE, indicating that the door is open should Sasha Banks wish to return.
“Well, we’re not all here. We’re not all here. Three of us are, yes. And the door is always open, I think, for Sasha. So I think that is one of those things that you can always go back to at any time, at any point, and it’ll always be awesome. It’ll always be fantastic. We’ll always have interesting stories with the depth of history that we can touch and scratch and go over, and always come back to it, and it’ll never lose its luster.”

Sasha Banks, now known as Mercedes Moné, signed with AEW in 2024 having left WWE around two years earlier. ‘The CEO’ is one of Tony Khan’s biggest stars, and, having had the longest TBS Championship reign in history, it’s likely that Moné will soon have the Women’s World Championship in her sights. However, at 34 years old, it remains possible she could return in future.
On the other hand, the three other horsewomen are looking to build momentum on RAW and SmackDown ahead of WrestleMania 42. At present, Lynch is the only one with a confirmed match at the ‘Show Of Shows’ as the star will look to reclaim the Intercontinental Championship from AJ Lee.
In terms of what Bayley and Charlotte could be set to do at WrestleMania, a recent report suggested the pair could both be involved in a four-way match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. You can read more about that here.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on WWE’s four horsewomen as soon as we hear more.
