Becky Lynch Feels She’ll Always Be Involved In Wrestling In Some Capacity

Becky Lynch isn’t thinking about her WWE retirement.
In the last 12 months, we’ve seen Goldberg, John Cena, and AJ Styles all bow out of in-ring competition. Plus, when looking at the current main event scene, many of WWE’s top names could soon be looking to have a retirement run before moving onto the next stage in their life. However, it now seems as if Becky Lynch isn’t thinking about life after pro wrestling.
Speaking on Cheap Heat, Lynch noted that, though a lot of the roster are closer to the end of their careers than the beginning, she feels as if she’ll always be involved in wrestling in some capacity.
“No because I think I’ll always be involved in some capacity, in some way. And so I don’t think I need to be worrying about the retirement world. But I will say… this has been a great, like, when I think of the talent that we have right now, the Seth Rollins, the Sami Zayns, the Sheamus, the Finn Balors, the Charlottes, the Bayleys, we’re all gonna be aging out at some point around the same time. And then there’s gonna be a whole new era, a whole new run of people. But it’s probably not that far off. We are all closer to the end than we are at the beginning.”

Lynch first signed with WWE in 2013, having an incredibly successful career to this point. On the main roster, the 39-year-old is a seven-time world champion, and the star has played a key role in elevating the likes of Lyra Valkyria and Maxxine Dupri.
Up next, ‘The Man’ will look to win back the Women’s Intercontinental Championship she lost to AJ Lee back at Elimination Chamber on February 28. After being locked in a rivalry since the former Divas Champion’s return to WWE last September, the pair will have their second singles encounter in just three weeks at WrestleMania 42.
Elsewhere in the interview, Lynch discussed the four horsewomen, saying the door was always open for Sasha Banks to return to WWE. You can read more about that here.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Becky Lynch’s WWE future as soon as we hear more.
