Trick Williams Says Carmelo Hayes Deserves A WrestleMania Moment

Trick Williams wants to see Carmelo Hayes have his moment at WWE’s WrestleMania.

With WrestleMania 42 just under three weeks away, the card for WWE’s biggest event of the year is taking shape. However, a number of top WWE Superstars still find themselves without a clear direction as the show approaches. One of those names is Carmelo Hayes, and it now appears that another rising star is backing his former ally to be featured in Las Vegas.

Appearing on Mornings with Mero on HOT 97, Trick Williams made it clear that Carmelo Hayes deserves to have his own WrestleMania moment and believes that it will come together.

“Me and Melo, we go way back, of course. And I would love to see him get his moment, and he deserves that. And you never know. He probably still will. He carried that US Title great, so he deserves his moment. And I’m sure he’s gonna get his moment.”

Trick Williams was first introduced to the WWE Universe as a friend of Carmelo Hayes on NXT, with the pair later going their separate ways before both moving to the main roster.

Last week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown saw Carmelo Hayes lose the WWE United States Championship to Sami Zayn, with Trick Williams now set to challenge for the title at WrestleMania 42.

Despite the loss, Carmelo Hayes is reportedly not planning to take time off from WWE as WrestleMania approaches. You can read more about that here.
