Road Dogg Says Chelsea Green Has The Potential To Be A Top Name In WWE

Road Dogg has high praise for Chelsea Green.

While many would’ve already named Chelsea Green as one of WWE’s more underrated talents, the conversation around her place on the card was sparked into frenzy when Michael Hayes said during WWE Unreal that she wasn’t meant to be a top girl in the company. This led fans and coworkers alike to jump to defence of the former Women’s United States Champion, and now a former WWE writer has said it’s possible for Green to reach the top.

During a virtual signing for Signed by Superstars, Road Dogg gave his thoughts on how far Chelsea Green could go in WWE.

“I totally understand people not seeing her worth if you’re only looking through a top guy lens. If you’re only looking for a main event of WrestleMania, I can see you not having her in that vision. But I also see the potential that she could be in that vision. I firmly believe that and I’ll go to my grave believing it. She’s the right kind of human being. She’s a workhorse. She says no to nothing and yes to everything. She kicked a 40 yard field goal with a broken ankle, for the love of God. The girl’s a national treasure.”

Green is yet to challenge for any of WWE’s world championships in her career, though she garnered a lot of support from vying for Money in the Bank in her home country of Canada in 2024. She has remained a key part of SmackDown despite her current ankle injury, and, prior to being sidelined, Green captured fans imagination by teaming with Ethan Page to win the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championships.

As for Road Dogg, the 56-year-old shockingly departed his role as co-lead writer of SmackDown on March 5. During the virtual signing, he revealed why he decided to step away. You can read more about that here.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Chelsea Green as soon as we hear more.
