WWE Reportedly Interested In CMLL’s Persephone

WWE are interested in signing Persephone when her dual CMLL/AEW contract ends.
On April 11, La Catalina made her return to WWE as part of Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, thus becoming the first talent to make the switch from CMLL to AAA since the latter was acquired by WWE last year. Following her return, WWE appear to have their sights set on another of CMLL’s Amazonas.
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE are already discussing the possibility of signing Persephone when her dual contract expires later this year.

In January 2026, Persephone announced on CMLL Informa that she had signed with All Elite Wrestling while also keeping her contract with Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre.
At La Noche de las Amazonas on March 6, Persephone defeated Mercedes Moné to capture the CMLL World Women’s Championship for the first time in her career.
On the topic of AAA, Shawn Michaels recently praised The Undertaker for the job he’s doing leading the Mexican promotion. You can read more about that here.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on the future of Persephone as soon as we hear more.
