Trick Williams Praises Lil Yachty’s WWE Involvement

Trick Williams praises Lil Yachty’s commitment to his WWE run.
After appearing at numerous WWE events as a fan in recent years, Grammy Award-nominated artist Lil Yachty began appearing on WWE television in March 2026 as the manager of Trick Williams. Yachty was at ringside for Williams’ match against Sami Zayn at WrestleMania 42, where he captured the WWE United States Championship and has since confirmed that he is “here to stay.”
Speaking to Travis Singleton for Sneaker Report, Trick Williams had high praise for Lil Yachty’s involvement with WWE so far, noting that the rapper and singer-songwriter wanted to fully commit to his on-screen role.
“He’s a guy who obviously loves the business. He don’t necessarily need to do everything that he’s doing because he’s had and is having a very successful hip-hop career, movies, everything like that. The truth is he just loves the business. That’s why he comes to all the shows for years now. Opportunity came before WrestleMania. They wanted to get him involved in some way and they said, ‘How would you feel about walking out with Trick Willy?’ They asked him and they asked me. I thought it was dope. He thought it was dope. But he was like, ‘Man, if we’re gonna do this, I don’t want it to be a one week type thing. I want to have some real storyline going into this. Let’s make this a moment instead of a random one-off.’ He’s been locked in ever since. We’ve got training in about an hour, we make sure that he’s getting active, he’s getting the full experience of being a superstar here with us. That’s my boy, man. Inside the ring, outside the ring. I probably spend more time with Yachty than most other people who are in the business who are my co-workers.”

Last night’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown saw Trick Williams lay out both Carmelo Hayes and Ricky Saints after the pair attempted to stake their claim to a shot at his WWE United States Championship.
Whilst Lil Yachty’s involvement with WWE has so far been limited to a managerial role, Trick Williams has previously claimed that Yachty is interested in stepping into the ring himself and wants to begin training for a potential in-ring debut in the future.
