Kayla Braxton was told she’d always be welcome to return to WWE.

On June 22, 2024, Braxton announced that she would be leaving WWE after the June 28 episode of SmackDown, with her profile on WWE’s website transferred to the alumni section on July 1.

Speaking to TMZ in a new interview, Kayla Braxton opened up about her WWE exit and revealed that Triple H told her the door would always remain open should she wish to return to the company.

“When I left, Triple H did say that to me. He said, ‘The door is always open here’. Which is such a nice thing to hear from your boss when you’re the one walking away. And I know I hope so. I don’t think I ever see myself going back in the same capacity, but I when I left, I just hoped I could go away, kind of create my own brand for myself. It takes time because I don’t want to always be, not that there’s anything wrong with it, but I just didn’t always want to be WWE’s Kayla Braxton because I had so much more I wanted to do. And in WWE, it’s very difficult to take on other projects, whether it be time or just because all the red tape. And so I’m gonna away for a few years and just really build up Kayla Becker and see what all I can do. And then maybe come back in a segment as Kayla Becker. Maybe I come one day and I take Paul [Heyman]’s job for like a month and I’m now the GM or the manager for whoever he’s managing at the time. Who knows? But we’ll see. I want to wait a little bit. They may not actually ever want me back. Who knows? But if they ever did, I’d want it to be a few years and I’m really established outside so that way I can come back and have more to show.”
