AAA/WWE are working on bringing back Perros del Mal’s iconic entrance theme.

During the June 20 episode of AAA on FOX, El Grande Americano’s return to AAA following his historic victory in the mask vs. mask match at Noche de Los Grandes was interrupted by Karmen Petrovic before he was attacked by Los Garza, Bronco Nima, and Daga. The group subsequently revealed themselves as a new-look Perros del Mal, and more details have now emerged regarding AAA and WWE’s plans for the faction’s presentation.

According to False Finish, WWE are looking to bring back ‘Perros’ as the group’s entrance theme, although nothing is confirmed at the time of writing.

“AAA/WWE are actively working to get Perros as the theme song for Perros del Mal but nothing is close to being finalized as of right now.”

-False Finish

Los Perros del Mal was founded by the late Perro Aguayo Jr. in CMLL in 2004 before moving to AAA in 2010 alongside the likes of Damián 666, Halloween, and L.A. Park. The group’s influence within Mexican wrestling has often been compared to that of the nWo and Bullet Club, making its return a significant development for AAA under WWE’s ownership.

Across the group’s lifespan, Los Perros del Mal has included the likes of Héctor Garza, Bestia 666, Penta, and Taya Valkyrie among a litany of other iconic lucha libre stars. The faction also led to the creation of Los Perros del Mal de Japón in Pro Wrestling NOAH, which was led by Nosawa Rongai.

False Finish recently noted that AAA/WWE received the blessing from the family of Perro Aguayo Jr. to use Los Perros del Mal on their programming, and therefore, with plans to bring back another element of the faction’s presentation seemingly in the works, it will be interesting to see how the promotion utilises the group moving forward.

Perhaps the most notable inclusion in the group’s new lineup is Daga, who previously competed as part of Los Perros del Mal during his first stint with AAA in the 2010s. Daga had most recently wrestled in Japan for Pro Wrestling NOAH, where he is a former two-time GHC Junior Heavyweight Champion.

Following Daga’s return to AAA, speculation mounted that his real-life partner Xena would also be on her way to AAA/WWE after announcing her impending departure from STARDOM, with reports suggesting that this now could be the case. You can read more about that here.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on future plans for the new-look Los Perros del Mal as soon as we hear more.
