Hiromu Takahashi is heading to WWE.

On February 3, 2026, NJPW announced that Hiromu Takahashi would be leaving the promotion, with his final match taking place on February 11 at The New Beginning in Osaka. In early May, BodySlam revealed that Takahashi was expected to join WWE, although details regarding the company’s plans for the former NJPW star have been scarce since.

The wait for his arrival may soon be over, however, as according to False Finish, Takahashi is expected to report to the WWE Performance Center in the near future.

Back in May, the aforementioned BodySlam report additionally noted that some sources believed WWE were planning for Takahashi to use the ‘Nox Raijin’ name, which was initially thought to be intended for NARAKU. However, a recent trademark filing for ‘BAKUSAI’ has also led to speculation that it could become the Ticking Time Bomb’s new ring name.

Hiromu Takahashi departed New Japan Pro-Wrestling as a five-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion and a record-breaking four-time winner of the Best of the Super Juniors tournament.

With NARAKU continuing his pursuit of Tony D’Angelo’s NXT Championship, some fans have speculated that his former Los Ingobernables de Japon stablemate Hiromu Takahashi could join his side imminently. However, that remains nothing more than speculation at this stage.

Earlier today, Fightful Select touched on a number of expected WWE arrivals, with Hiromu Takahashi among those who people within the company have long believed will be joining the promotion.

Elsewhere in the report, Fightful Select revealed that WWE are interested in signing independent standout Richard Holliday. You can read more about that here.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on the future of Hiromu Takahashi as soon as we hear more.
