MJF Potentially Taking Time Of Time Off AEW TV, Expected To Be At All In

MJF could be set to take some time away from AEW television.
Last week’s AEW Dynamite: Beach Break saw Kenny Omega defeat MJF in the main event to capture the AEW World Championship. Many fans had initially expected the bout to take place at AEW Redemption later this month, and reports now suggest that was the original plan.
According to Fightful Select, the match was indeed originally scheduled for AEW Redemption on July 26 before plans changed, with MJF now reportedly potentially set to take time away from AEW television in the build-up to the show.
“Originally, the match was planned for AEW Redemption, but was moved up. When asking what MJF’s plans were for the Redemption PPV itself now, it was indicated to us that he may actually be off TV for a period of time. It wasn’t confirmed, just indicated, and no time frame was given.”

The report initially notes that those who spoke to Fightful still expect MJF to be involved in AEW All In at Wembley Stadium on August 30 in some capacity, although the specific nature of his involvement remains unclear.
AEW Redemption is set to take place at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, on July 26, with Fightful reporting yesterday that Kenny Omega defending the AEW World Championship against Kevin Knight at the event is one of the options currently being discussed. As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on MJF taking time away from AEW TV as soon as we hear more.
