Netflix Reveal Declining Viewership For WWE PLEs Across 2026

WWE’s premium live event viewing figures on Netflix have been revealed.

Since WWE’s Netflix deal began in January 2025, the company’s premium live events have streamed internationally on the platform, while ESPN now carries them domestically in the United States.

Yesterday, Netflix released its latest What We Watched report covering the first six months of 2026. Alongside the report was a document providing more detailed global viewership figures. The breakdown of WWE’s international numbers shows that viewership started off strong before gradually declining.

The figures are fascinating for several reasons. The Royal Rumble, WWE’s first premium live event of the year, performed exceptionally well internationally, while the most recent event, Night of Champions, attracted less than a third of that audience. Given WWE’s status as the industry’s biggest wrestling brand, one might expect those numbers to remain consistently high, but following the two-night WrestleMania event, that has not been the case.

Again, these figures only represent international viewership numbers, and it remains unclear how much the domestic figures would raise the overall totals. However, ESPN has been making the first hour of recent WWE premium live events available for free, with the network even pushing WWE to add more matches to the cards so that things “balance out.”

With WWE’s SummerSlam set to take place across August 1 and August 2 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota, it will be interesting to see how the company’s second-biggest event of the year performs amid the recent trend of declining international viewership.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on WWE’s viewership figures as soon as we hear more.
