Mike Bailey wants a spot on the AEW Redemption card.

Many All Elite Wrestling fans consider Speedball Mike Bailey to be one of the best wrestlers on the roster. Known for bringing maximum effort to every match, Bailey has consistently elevated the quality of any bout he’s involved in. However, with AEW Redemption in Montreal, Canada, less than a week away on July 26, he currently does not have a confirmed match on the card.

During his latest SpeedVlog on YouTube, Mike Bailey addressed his AEW National Championship loss to Mark Davis on the July 11 episode of AEW Collision and admitted that he feels he may have missed his opportunity to be part of AEW Redemption.

Honestly, it’s kind of a bummer. I feel like I missed a big opportunity to walk into Montreal, to do a show in my hometown and walk into there, defending a championship that would have been fantastic. And now July 26 is creeping closer and closer, and I don’t have a clear direction. I don’t know what I’m going to do, but I know that I need to do something.”

Many fans have expressed their desire to see Speedball featured on the AEW Redemption card, with his status as a Montreal native adding further interest in a potential appearance. Bailey’s reputation as a consistently high-level performer has led to increased discussion regarding whether he could have a role on the event.

Currently, eight matches are scheduled for the AEW Redemption main card, with AEW pay-per-views typically featuring around 9-10 matches on the main show alongside three or four bouts on the YouTube Buy-In pre-show. Should Bailey be added to the event, a storyline development would likely need to take place soon.

On the latest episode of AEW Collision, Bailey appeared with reinforcements to confront the Don Callis Family, leading to speculation that the angle could result in a match against DCF at Redemption or potentially position him for an AEW World Trios Championship bout involving The Conglomeration and other teams.

According to recent reports, plans for AEW Redemption have been kept closely guarded, meaning there could still be an opportunity for Mike Bailey to be added to the event. You can read more about that here.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on AEW Redemption, along with future plans for Mike Bailey as soon as we hear more.
