Mick Foley Reveals Reunion With Owen Hart’s Family At AEW Redemption

Mick Foley got to reunite with the Hart family at AEW Redemption.
Specifically, he got to meet the family of Owen Hart for the first time in a long time. Mick and Owen had a deep friendship, and at AEW Double or Nothing, he was part of a promo package talking about the greatness of Owen Hart. Fast forward to AEW Redemption, and a long-awaited reunion was had.
Foley posted on his Instagram a picture of himself, Martha Hart, and Oje Hart, and he had very kind words to say about the experience:
“Owen Hart was one of the best friends I have ever known. He was also one of the finest people I have ever known, and I feel his loss to this day. In a small way, I felt like I had failed the Hart family by not keeping in touch – but any worries I had instantly vanished upon walking into the suite that had been set up for the Owen Hart Foundation. I felt such a sense of healing when I spoke to Martha, I had the great privilege of watching about 90 minutes of AEW Redemption with son Oje, who is the spitting image of his father. Do yourselves a favor watch a couple of classic Owen Hart matches. He was incredible…”

All Elite Wrestling has a continued connection with both the Hart family and the Owen Hart Foundation. Tony Khan has repeatedly had Martha Hart at PPV events. The biggest connection, though, is through the Owen Hart Foundation Cup Tournament, which happens every year, and now directly ties into AEW All In.
The tournament celebrates the man and wrestler that Owen Hart was, while giving the winners of the men’s and women’s brackets a direct title shot at All In. This year’s winners were Will Ospreay and Mercedes Moné respectively.
