Avery Styles has made his GCW debut.

In professional wrestling, second-generation performers are nothing new. With the likes of Solo Sikoa, The Usos, Cody Rhodes, Bron Breakker, and more featuring on WWE’s main roster, there’s a clear pathway for those looking to follow in their family’s footsteps to become stars in their own right. Now, the son of WWE Hall of Famer AJ Styles has started to make waves.

At just 19 years old, Avery Styles wrestled for Game Changer Wrestling last night, July 31, at their “ Top Play” event which took place at the Admiral theatre in Omaha, Nebraska. Ultimately, Avery picked up a win over Alex Lev.

Avery came out to his father’s old “Demi Gods” theme which AJ used on the indies. He also came out with a hooded jacket much like his dad. Avery was introduced as “ The Phenomenal Son” by GCW ring announcer Emil Jay.

In tribute to his father, Avery tried the Styles Clash but it was stopped by Lev much to the crowd’s disappointment. The GCW fans were behind Styles with chants of “Avery, Avery”, gave Styles the encouragement he needed to hit the Spiral Tap on Lev for the count of three and a victory in his GCW debut.

This was an impressive showing for Styles. His in ring work was solid and he already has a connection with the fans. In particular, he had strong chain wrestling sequences and a caught the eye with a shooting star press off the apron.

For now, what he goes on to do remains to be seen, but there’s no doubt “The Phenomenal Son” looks like someone to keep an eye on as his career progresses.

As always we will aim to provide any further updates on Avery Styles as soon as we hear more.
