Dominik Mysterio Reportedly Frustrated With His WWE Booking Compared To AAA
Dominik Mysterio is reportedly unhappy with his WWE main roster booking.
On the second night of last weekend’s SummerSlam, Dominik Mysterio lost to Danhausen in a Human Monies On A Pole match. This left many fans frustrated with the current AAA Mega Champion being on the losing end in a comedy feud on RAW despite his good work in the Mexican promotion. With the star unable to build much momentum on WWE’s flagship show of late, it now appears he may share a similar sentiment regarding his current booking.
According to an update from False Finish, it’s believed Dominik Mysterio is currently frustrated with how he’s portrayed on RAW compared to in AAA.
“Sources indicate to False Finish that AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio is frustrated with the difference in his booking between WWE and AAA. One source noted that Mysterio believes that he should be booked in a more serious way on WWE TV as he’s currently holding the most important championship in AAA. Mysterio would like to see his character portrayed the same instead of it seeming like he’s 2 separate people on 2 different shows.”

Around the time WWE officially acquired AAA, Mysterio won the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 41. That night, he soaked in the adulation from the travelling crowd, and it seemed like he’d taken the next step in his main roster career. However, with little to get viewers excited since losing the title to Penta back in January, it’s his time in Mexico that has gotten people talking.
Mysterio has been a huge hit in AAA since he first crossed over to the company in the summer of 2025. In fact, the second-generation performer is around one month away from holding the Mega Championship for a full year. With his last televised win on the main roster coming back at the start of June, whether the company opt to shift his presentation more towards what fans see in the Mexican promotion remains to be seen.
