Marie Malenko Now Known As Kenzie Ahead Of WWE NXT Debut

Marie Malenko has been given a new ring name ahead of her WWE NXT debut.
Back in March, BodySlam reported that WWE had signed Marie Malenko, the daughter of former WWE star Dean Malenko. Two months later, WWE confirmed Malenko’s signing alongside Mason Rook, Reina Volcán, and Marcus Brown as part of the latest rookie class at the WWE Performance Center.
Since joining WWE, Malenko had competed at NXT live events under the name Lacey Simon. However, according to False Finish, the young star will no longer be known as Lacey Simon and will instead simply be known as Kenzie.
“False Finish has learned that Lacey Simon/Marie Malenko will now be known as Kenzie.”

Kenzie made her in-ring debut with Pro Wrestling NOAH on February 2 on one of the promotion’s Monday Magic shows. She also made a pair of appearances for Marigold, taking on Seri Yamaoka and Rea Seto in singles action.
Thus far, Kenzie has faced the likes of Kali Armstrong, Kelani Jordan, and Myka Lockwood at NXT live events. With her new WWE ring name now confirmed, it likely won’t be long until she officially makes her way to NXT on The CW.
