Tony Khan Credits UK Fans For AEW’s Growth, Reveals Plans To Return
Tony Khan loves getting the chance to bring All Elite Wrestling to London.
We are now just four days away from the biggest PPV of All Elite Wrestling’s year, All In: London. The show will take place at Wembley Stadium and has recently surpassed 43,000 tickets sold, which is an impressive figure given this will be the third time the event has been held at the iconic venue.
In a chat with Metro UK, Tony Khan noted that fans in London and across the UK have played a key role in helping AEW grow, and confirmed that the promotion will return to the region in the future:
“I really believe that the English wrestling fans have been instrumental in growing the worldwide popularity of AEW, and London may be the very best city for AEW. So I absolutely will continue bringing AEW here to London, and also I look forward to visiting other cities in England. We debuted in Manchester last year. I think there are more opportunities to visit all the great cities around the UK, because there are so many great wrestling fans here in the United Kingdom.”

It’s not hard to see why AEW would keep returning to Europe, as the promotion has drawn incredible attendance numbers from fans every time it has crossed the Atlantic. That includes the 81,000 fans at the first All In: London, the 19,000 who attended Forbidden Door at The O2 Arena last year, and the strong numbers for today’s AEW Dynamite in Glasgow.
Tony Khan isn’t just keeping things rooted in the UK, though, as he has announced AEW Grand Slam: France, which will take place in Paris this October. You can read more about that here. If the event goes well, it’s possible AEW could expand into other countries further down the line.
For now, though, Khan is focused on putting on the best possible All In: London for the fans, ensuring that whenever AEW returns to the UK, it feels like a meaningful occasion.
