Britt Baker’s AEW All In: London Return Reportedly Came Together Late
Britt Baker’s AEW return came together at the last minute.
While the All Elite Wrestling roster has undergone plenty of changes since the promotion’s launch in 2019, several talents have been there from the very beginning, including Dr. Britt Baker. After being absent from AEW for an extended period, Baker made a surprise return at All In: London, where she helped Persephone defeat Maya World to win the TBS Championship.
According to Fightful Select, Baker’s return came together very late in the process, with the decision reportedly being finalised close to the event itself.
“On the Friday before AEW All In, Fightful Select noted that Baker was at home in Florida and the AEW roster hadn’t heard of her involvement in All In at that point. That was true, and she didn’t travel in with the rest of the roster. However, on Saturday, there was a lot of movement on her involvement in the show with people we spoke about. That day, word started to emerge that she could be involved. It was implied but not confirmed to us that this could have all been nailed down late. AEW sources claimed that Baker didn’t even arrive in London until Sunday morning, and wasn’t at Wembley until after call time.”

Elsewhere in the report, Fightful Select addressed the reasons behind Britt Baker’s lengthy absence, noting that there had been multiple attempts to bring her back in the past and that she had been open to a return. Those close to Baker reportedly said she took herself off the road in 2024, although the reason remains unclear.
The report also noted that the merchandise AEW promoted ahead of the “Rebel Heart” Dynamite show consisted of previously released designs rather than new shirts prepared for her return.
The overall response to Baker’s return has been largely positive, prompting the D.M.D. herself to thank the fans on X:
What comes next for Baker remains unclear. Following her return at All In: London, she cut a promo alongside Persephone, stating that she would be in her corner as they set their sights on Baker’s longtime rival, Thunder Rosa. However, her first in-ring match since returning has yet to be announced.
With the “Rebel Heart” event taking place on September 12, Baker appears a strong candidate to feature on the show given its connection to her, meaning it may not be long before she is back on our screens.
