Sayaka Kurara To Miss Two STARDOM Shows With Injury

Former World of Stardom Champion Sayaka Kurara will miss two upcoming STARDOM events while receiving treatment for an injury.

On September 1, 2026, STARDOM announced that Sayaka Kurara would miss STARDOM in Korakuen at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo on September 6 and Stardom to the World at Yokohama Budokan on September 12. The nature of her injury has not been disclosed, and no return date has been given.

Stardom to the World is one of the promotion’s major events and airs on pay-per-view, meaning STARDOM will be forced to run the show without one of its fastest-rising stars on the card.

Sayaka Kurara joined STARDOM as a trainee in March 2023 before making her in-ring debut against Saya Kamitani at New Blood 12 in December of that year, making her rise to the top of the promotion a rapid one.

Kurara has held the World of Stardom Championship, better known as the Red Belt, since April 26, when she ended Saya Kamitani’s 483-day reign at All Star Grand Queendom in front of 8,015 fans at Yokohama Arena. Kurara became the 21st holder of the title, doing so with the futures of her Cosmic Angels stablemates on the line, as the faction would have been forced to disband had Kamitani retained.

After a 55-day reign, Kurara dropped the title to Suzu Suzuki at Stardom The Conversion on June 20 at Yoyogi National Gymnasium, though she remains one half of the New Blood Tag Team Champions alongside fellow Cosmic Angels member Aya Sakura.
