Will Ospreay Recalls Asking His Mother To Do The Voiceover For His AEW All In Entrance Video

Will Ospreay says he advised his mother to rein it in when it came to her pre-match narration.

At AEW All In: London, Kenny Omega met Will Ospreay for the third time on a major stage, and it was punctuated by a pair of entrances that showcased their respective journeys and still wanted to do. For Ospreay, the first thing fans saw was a video package showcasing his rise from the British independents to New Japan Pro Wrestling and the main event of Wembley, narrated by his mother. Now, “The Aerial Assassin” has recalled asking his mum to do the voiceover.

Speaking with Chris Van Vilet on Insight, he broke down how it happened and how he had to tell her to rein it in at first.

“We were in Orlando, and I said, ‘Mom, I’ve got like a proposition for you. Do you remember the one that Al did for me? I’d like you to do one for me.’ She was just like, ‘I’ll do it now.’ Then she started writing it up. I said, ‘I don’t want to hear it until the night.’ I heard it the night of, and there were elements of it where I was kind of like, okay. My mom’s very theater, so she very much pronounces everything that she says, and she treats it like a town hall meeting, and I had to try and tell her, ‘Hey, just rein it back a little bit. I don’t want you talking to everybody. You’re not at town hall. You’re talking to your son.’ She did it again. It was spot on, perfect.”

“Al”, of course, was Alex Windsor, who narrated the equally emotional entrance package for Ospreay at Forbidden Door 2025, where he was about to get his fusion neck surgery. As the promotion’s biggest British wrestler, the star has been afforded a special entrance every time they’ve come to the UK, and his All In arrival has certainly had an impact on those who watched the new AEW World Champion come through the British wrestling scene.
