Go Shiozaki To Return for AJPW’s September 16 Show

Go Shiozaki will be back for All Japan Pro Wrestling’s next show.

All Japan Pro Wrestling unveiled their cards for their upcoming shows on September 16 and 17, and, fortunately, one man who is currently scheduled to compete is Go Shiozaki.

The 44-year-old recently had to miss a couple shows after he received a hip injury. It was unclear for a few days whether or not he would be able to take part in his Royal Road quarterfinal matchup with Xyon in two days, but it now seems that he’ll be able to do so.

Shiozaki won his first Royal Road contest on September 9 against Ren Ayabe after 22:27, which was the longest tournament match in the first round.

The former GHC Heavyweight Champion has had to undergo many injury spells during this whole decade. He missed nine months in 2021 after dislocating a tendon in his right bicep. Then, in September of 2022, Shiozaki was sidelined with a shoulder injury for seven more months. Luckily, it seems that Shiozaki should be okay at least for now, just be aware that this has been a running theme for him for many years.

The rest of the Royal Road quarterfinal round will feature the following matches:

• 9/16 – Yuma Anzai vs. Timothy Thatcher
• 9/16 – Yuma Aoyagi vs. Daisuke Sekimoto
• 9/17 – Go Shiozaki vs. Xyon
• 9/17 – Kento Miyahara vs. Ryuki Honda
