KAIRI Reportedly Not Signed With AEW As Of Yet

If KAIRI is coming to AEW, it may not be at WrestleDream like some hoped.

Ever since WWE laid off certain wrestlers throughout 2026, fans have been wondering where some would end up, and there have been some surprising debuts in other promotions all over the board. On the women’s side of things, KAIRI has been a free agent for some time now, and yet hasn’t signed with any company, including her previous home promotion of STARDOM. Many speculated that she would go to All Elite Wrestling and get to show the world why “The Pirate Princess” was still a top wrestler. However, it now appears that hasn’t come to pass as of now.

According to a new report from Fightful Select, contract between the two has still not been signed.

“There was still no deal done with her as of this week with AEW.”

Of course, a promotion will sometimes hold off on getting a talent signed until the last minute so that they can make a true surprise of it all, meaning a WrestleDream arrival isn’t entirely out of the question. Although, it currently looks unlikely she’ll return to our screens this weekend.

The reason many felt she would be a lock for WrestleDream was that the women’s main event is between Mercedes Mone and Thekla. Mone has history with the Japanese star, as does Thekla, and either one would be a perfect first feud in AEW to highlight her in-ring once again. For now, though, exactly what the future holds for KAIRI remains to be seen.
