Since her May 16th walk-out alongside her tag-team partner Naomi, Sasha Banks has been absent from WWE television, with the pair being “indefinitely suspeded”.
Yesterday however, Wrestling Inc’s founder Raj Giri shared an update on the situation via his Twitter account (@TheRajGiri), claiming that Sasha Banks had now been released by WWE, although he was unable to confirm whether the release was requested or simply a decision made by WWE themselves.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has now provided an update on Sasha Banks’ WWE status, revealing that WWE are yet to confirm the release. He did however, confirm that Banks and her attorneys actively pushing for said release.
“There were reports that Banks had been released, but WWE did not confirm that was the case. Her attorneys are working on trying to get her released”

It is important to note that Meltzer never confirmed that WWE explicitly denied the release, and thus Raj Giri’s original report may still stand, however it remains to be seen how WWE plan on navigating this situation.
