The past few weeks within WWE have seen numerous shocking returns thanks to new Head of Talent Relations Triple H reaching out to a number of former stars, with the likes of Karrion Kross, Dakota Kai, Dexter Lumis, and Johnny Gargano amongst those that have returned to the company. With WWE still actively discussing addition returns, one name that has been rumoured as a potential target is JONAH, formerly known as Bronson Reed in NXT.
Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Podcast reported last week that WWE were “very interested” in bringing JONAH back to the company, following a successful G1 Climax run for New Japan Pro Wrestling. Fightful Select have now corroborated said report, confirming that WWE are indeed interested in a Bronson Reed return.
“We’ve confirmed Andrew Zarian’s report that there is interest on WWE’s side in bringing back Bronson Reed.”

Reed’s time in NXT saw him become the NXT North American Champion, with the Australian having been featured heavily across the black and gold brand prior to his release on August 6th of last year.
Prior to his release, Reed had featured in a number of dark matches during main roster shows, with a potential call up having been discussed, although these plans never came to fruition.
Thus far, Fightful Select are yet to hear any more on WWE’s interest in JONAH besides the interest itself, with it currently being unknown as to whether the “Top Dog” has received a formal proposal.
