WrestlePurists was founded in February 2021 with a pretty simple goal: to keep pro wrestling fans reliably informed with accurate, well-sourced news and discussion. What began as a growing presence on Twitter quickly evolved into a broader independent media platform built by passionate fans who wanted a more trustworthy approach to wrestling aggregation.

From the start, we recognised a gap within the wrestling media landscape. While there are many respected reporters, aggregation across the space has often been inconsistent… Prioritising clickbait, unreliable sources, or unverified rumours over clarity and accuracy. WrestlePurists was created to offer an alternative: a central hub that highlights reputable reporting, presents information responsibly, and gives fans a clearer picture of what’s happening across WWE, AEW, and the wider pro wrestling world.

As our audience grew, launching the WrestlePurists website became the natural next step. The site allows us to expand beyond the limitations of social media by providing more detailed articles, curated news coverage, and a platform for both aspiring and experienced writers to showcase feature content and editorial perspectives.

Alongside our written coverage, WrestlePurists has developed a presence on YouTube, where we create videos, host live discussions, and have community-driven conversations around the latest developments in wrestling. Our focus has always been on creating engaging, informative content while maintaining an authentic and inclusive environment for fans from all backgrounds.

Despite evolving across multiple platforms, our mission has remained unchanged since day one: keep the audience informed. WrestlePurists operates as a fully independent outlet with no corporate ownership or external investors. Everything we do is driven by a shared passion for professional wrestling and a commitment to building a trusted, fan-focused media space.

Today we have over 120,000 followers/subscribers across our social media, and WrestlePurists continues to grow as a destination for news, analysis, and community discussion.

Created by wrestling fans, for wrestling fans.
