Ace Austin is All Elite.
On this past week’s Collision, former TNA star Ace Austin made his AEW debut. The 28-year-old is a former three-time TNA World Tag Team Champion, and, although he lost to Ricochet in his All Elite Wrestling debut, Austin is an exciting addition to the roster moving forward. Now, more is known about his TNA exit, as well as the contract status of his longtime tag team partner Chris Bey as he continues his recovery from a broken neck.
Per Fightful Select, it’s believed that Ace Austin is now under a multi-year contract with AEW after his TNA deal expired earlier this year.
“His deal with TNA was up earlier this year, and the company was hopeful to retain him, but they couldn’t agree on financial terms after negotiating. The AEW deal is multi-year in length.”

Touching on Chris Bey’s contract status, it was said that the 29-year-old’s TNA deal would have also expired around the same time his partner’s did. However, following his tragic injury, Bey remains under contract with the company.
“In addition to Ace Austin, Fightful Select confirmed that Chris Bey’s TNA contract would have been up if not for his unfortunate accident in the ring. TNA sources indicated that Chris Bey’s deal was nearing its end, but that he is still considered with the company and is being paid under the terms of his deal.”

While the pair are an incredibly formidable team, both Austin and Bey have previously found singles success as part of TNA’s X-Division, so AEW’s newest signee is well positioned to competing solo in his new home.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on both Ace Austin’s AEW arrival and Chris Bey’s injury status as soon as we hear more.
