Adam Cole may only have a short time left on the sidelines.
In September 2023, Adam Cole suffered an ankle injury which hampered AEW’s plans for the following months. In particular, it impacted the feud that would’ve developed between himself and MJF heading into the year, as Cole has taken a backseat in storylines involving the Undisputed Kingdom. However, he may not be sidelined for much longer.
Per Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it’s believed that Adam Cole is now back walking after his injury and is hopeful that he won’t be out for too longer.
“Regarding Adam Cole, because of the complexity of the injury there’s still a little time left out of action but he hopes it’s not much longer. He is able to walk now, so he’s on the way back.”
-Dave Meltzer
Cole made a surprise return to AEW at Double or Nothing where he seemingly put a bow on his feud with the Undisputed Kingdom when MJF laid him out. Should he be back soon, it’s unknown whether the company will choose to reignite their feud, but many fans will be relieved to see Cole back in the ring nonetheless.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Adam Cole’s AEW return as soon as we hear more.
