Hangman Page could be set to make his return to All Elite Wrestling.

Former AEW World Champion Adam “Hangman” Page has been out of action since unsuccessfully challenging Samoa Joe for the championship at AEW Revolution on March 3rd in a triple threat match that also included the current champion Swerve Strickland, who Page had been engaged in a lengthy feud with prior to taking time off from the promotion.

His absence may be about to come to an end, however, as Fightful Select are now reporting that Page is expected to return to AEW within the next month, and whilst plans are unclear as of writing, he is expected to continue to work as a heel.

“After what will end up being nearly four months out of action, we’re told that Hangman Page is poised for a return. We don’t have a date nailed down, but it’s expected to within the next month, likely by early July. Thus far we’ve not heard of creative plans for Hangman, though he was expected to continue as a heel.”

Elsewhere in the report, Fightful noted that they haven’t been told whether Page’s absence has been added on to his AEW contract or not, although they also added that the company were aware of his upcoming absence ahead of time.

With Swerve Strickland now the AEW World Champion and having recently crossed paths with The Elite, it’ll be interesting to see what the plans will be for Page’s highly anticipated return.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on future plans for Adam Page as soon as we hear more.
