EDDIE KINGSTON DEFEATS CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI
These two men have one of the most intense rivalries in wrestling history which in turn creates incredible matches across multiple wrestling companies, and with this new chapter in the Continental Classic, both these men put everything on the line while trying to destroy each other. This was a hot start to the show and worth watching. With Kingston’s back against the wall in this tournament, he desperately needed a win, and that is exactly what happened, he got the win by outsmarting Castagnoli, by reversing a pinfall attempt and giving Eddie 3 points in the Continental Classic.
JON MOXLEY PROMO
Ahead of their AEW Dynamite clash, Moxley cuts a promo about Swerve, telling him that it will be a long night for him and that he’s way over his head.
HOOK’S INTERVIEW WITH RENEE PAQUETTE
Renee Paquette tried to interview HOOK the FTW champion but the ROH Pure Champion Wheeler Yuta interrupted them. HOOK tells Wheeler that he cheated to beat Shibata; Wheeler says he’s tired of dealing with HOOK and challenges him for a match under FTW Rules.
WILLOW NIGHTINGALE DEFEATS MERCEDES MARTINEZ
Willow and Mercedes are not strangers to each other and faced each other before, Willow’s charisma is as infectious as ever and Mercedes uses her veteran abilities throughout this match. Still, in this encounter, Willow gets the pin out of nowhere over Mercedes. After the match Mercedes and Diamante attack Willow but Kris Statlander comes and makes the save.
DADDY MAGIC & ANGELO PARKER PROMO
Daddy Magic and Angelo Parker cut a promo as the hometown heroes in Montreal, Jake Hager says he won’t join them at ringside because he’s looking for authorities who can do something about Dan Hausen stealing his hat. Ruby Soho joins in and gets close with Parker but Daddy Magic and Saraya pull them away; Saraya gives Ruby a lecture and tells her she needs to prove she’s not a traitor like Toni Storm next week.
SWERVE STRICKLAND PROMO
Swerve cuts a promo on Jon Moxley and says that this tournament is the start of his reign as world champion.
DEFEATS WILLIE MACK
Wardlow continued his dominant run in pursuit of MJF, this match started very competitive, but after a couple of big power bombs was enough for the referee to end the match while Wardlow walked away.
KENNY OMEGA DEFEATS ETHAN PAGE
Time for two of Canada’s best to face each other. This match was very competitive with Ethan Page bringing his A-game against the cleaner. This was a great opportunity for Ethan Page and he took and used this opportunity to the fullest. It was a very fun match to watch, after trading roll-ups, and avoiding each other finishers Kenny hits a V-Trigher followed by the One Winged Angel on Ethan Page for the win. After the match both men showed respect with Kenny holding up Ethan’s hand, after Kenny left the ring Big Bill assaulted him with a big boot to the face, with Ethan checking up on Kenny.
CJ PERRY PROMO
CJ Perry hypes up Andrade, but Miro interrupts her by asking why she doesn’t stay at home to cook and clean while he’s away making money and wonders when the last time she said nice things about Miro as she is doing for Andrade. Perry calls him delusional, but Miro promises to finish off Andrade as soon as the Continental Classic is finished.
KOMANDER & PENTA EL ZERO MIEDO DEFEATS ANGELO PARKER & DADDY MAGIC
The hometown heroes Angelo Parker and Daddy Magic get a hero’s welcome, the match starts with Komander and Angelo Parker, and Penta is caught off guard by the crowd chanting Daddy Magic. After some back and forth Magic puts Penta in the Boston Crab briefly but Komander and Penta make a comeback and hit a tightrope fear factor combination on Parker for the win.
HYPE VIDEO FOR SHANE TAYLOR VS KEITH LEE AT ROH FINAL BATTLE
ANDRADE EL IDOLO DEFEATS BRYAN DANIELSON
Time for the main event, a Continental Classic Tournament match. This was a violent and hard-hitting match between two great wrestlers. Both these wrestlers have great runs in this tournament but in this match, Andrade gained the upper hand by targeting Danielson his injured orbital bone, and making it hard to see throughout this match, Danileson also ended up with a bloody nose from one of the stiff shots. With 3 minutes remaining Andrade repeatedly bits hits Danielson’s eye finishing him off with the hammerlock ddt for the big win over the dragon and giving Andrade the 3 points in the Continental Classic tying him with Brody King and Bryan Danielson with each having 6 points in total. After the match, the AEW doctors and medical staff came to check on Danielson and so did Andrade but the BCC came running to check on the dragon while shoving Andrade away. As Collision goes off air Andrade signs that he will be the triple crown champion while the medical staff still checks on Danielson.
