Welcome to this week’s Wrestlepurists coverage of AEW Collision, as tonight promises an exciting show. Tonight will feature the return of Bryan Danielson in a tag match with Claudio Castagnoli against Triple Crown Continental champion Eddie Kingston teaming with Ortiz, we also have the return of Jon Moxley against Shayne Taylor, The Adam Copeland Open Challenge continues, and we’ll have Buddy Matthew vs Danial Garcia, Thunder Rosa returns to single action and so much more.
JON MOXLEY DEFEATS SHANE TAYLOR
Both men started the match of by brawling and testing each other with lariats. After Moxley endured some hard chops from Shayne, he tried to make a comeback but Shayne kept shutting him down. They brawled outside the ring, where Moxley had the upper hand, but Lee Moriarty attacked Moxley to give the upper hand back to Shayne. Both men were trying to destroy each other by trading suplexes, big lariats, and headbutts. In the final stages, they went back and forth trading blows, and after Moxley locked in the bulldog choke and put Shayne Taylor to sleep for the win. After the Match Moxley addressed the Fans; he said he is hungry and pissed off, he was not taking crap from anyone or anything, anybody that wants to step into the ring with him, whether teammates or colleagues, He told them to keep up.
ADAM COPELAND DEFEATS DANTE MARTIN
This week’s challenger for the Cope open was Dante Martin. The match started with a handshake from both men, followed by some chain wrestling and headlocks from Copeland, arm drags and armbars from Dante. The match continued to speed up showing off the speed and agility of Dante and the veteran ability from Adam Copeland. Majority of the match Copeland controlled the pace and kept Dante grounded and tried to keep Dante unbalanced by targeting his equilibrium. Dante fought back with a big hurricanrana outside, followed by a dive outside and a big crossbody in the ring for a near fall. Copeland countered Dante with a Spike DDT, Copeland was looking for a spear but Dante avoided it and tried to pin Copeland after landing a moonsault for a near fall. After a big sunset powerbomb from Dante, Copeland survives with a near fall. Dante went for a springboard to many and got hit out of the air by a spear followed by the Grindhoyse to tap out Dante for the win. After the match Schiavone, he said he’s going to keep doing this Cope open no matter how hard it gets and keep working hard until he wins the TNT Championship from Christian Cage, so he can defend it every week.
BRYAN DANIELSON AND CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW WITH LEXY NAIR
Lexy asked both men about the match against Eddie and Ortiz, how both men lost to Eddie in the Continental Classic, and both Bryan and Claudio talked about how little they still think about Eddie Kingston.
TOP FLIGHT BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW WITH LEXY NAIR
Lexy congratulated Dante and Top Flight on their performances lately and then the interview got interrupted by Private Party, which ended in a match being set up in the near future, after Private Party got the win over Top Flight last week.
THUNDER ROSA DEFEATS QUEEN AMINATA
At the beginning of the match, Thunder Rosa tried to show her dominance, but Aminata kept fighting back with efficient technical ability. Both women threw everything at each other with some hard shots, but Thunder Rosa’s experience gained her the upper hand and the win after a Tijuana Bomb.
ORTIZ AND EDDIE KINSGTON BACKSTAGE INTERVIEW WITH LEXY NAIR
Ortiz said that the BCC might have been teaming together for a long time but that he and Kingston are family and nothing beats family, Kinston just wanted to go fight and asked if the interview was done, Ortiz translated for Eddie Kingston and said that Eddie does his best talking in the ring.
BULLET CLUB GOLD PROMO
Bullet Club Gold mentioned they were finally back on Saturday night’s Collision. They are happy to be back but something was missing, they brought out cardboard Juice Robinson, the acclaimed made their entrance and they tried to convince Bullet Club Gold to join forces to make a supergroup and go after all the titles. The Acclaimed asked Bullet Club Gold for their answer, and they agreed to join forces.
TONI STORM BACKSTAGE PROMO
Toni Storm admitted that she knows Deonna Purrazzo but that she will defeat her and after she defeats her, she will eat her.
DANIEL GARCIA DEFEATS BUDDY MATTHEWS
Buddy Matthews is joined at ringside by Brody King and Malakai Black, while FTR joined Daniel Garcia at ringside and Daddy Magic is on commentary. Buddy Matthews kept knocking Garcia down but Garcia fought back with a big shoulder tackle where Buddy landed outside. Both men were evenly matched but early on Buddy had an injured leg but managed a big DDT to have the advantage. The match spilled outside of the ring with Buddy being constantly a step ahead of Garcia. After a big piledriver on the apron, both men barely made it in the ring before the ten count. We saw an aggressive side from Garcia where he targeted Buddy’s injured leg. Buddy hit Garcia with a couple of big knees but Garcia surprised Buddy with a roll up and the win. After the match, a big brawl happened where the locker room came out and tried to stop it, but it was out of control.

An angry FTR with Daniel Garcia challenges The House of Black next week to a six-man tag elimination match in a steel cage match.
RODERICK STRONG DEFEATS MATT SYDAL
This was a high-speed match between two men who knew each other very well, and both fought on equal terms but Strong had The Kingdom on the outside backing him up. Eventually Strong kept Sydal down with backbreakers and gutbusters. Sydal made a comeback with a couple of hurricanranas and a Meteora for a near fall. Strong caught Sydal off guard with a big knee and an end of heartache for the win.
BRYAN DANIELSON AND CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI DEFEAT EDDIE KINGSTON AND ORTIZ
The match started with Danielson and Eddie, both men tried to outdo each other with the crowd cheers, followed by Danielson showing off his chain wrestling and striking ability, and toying with Eddie. Ortiz and Claudio tagged in and Claudio quickly overpowered Ortiz, Ortiz tried to outspeed both Claudio and Danielson but was stopped by efficient double-team tactics from Claudio and Danielson. Danielson tortured Ortiz while taunting Eddie. Throughout the match, Danielson and Claudio utilized quick in-and-out tags while wearing down Ortiz. Claudio stopped Ortiz from tagging Eddie by catching him and putting him in the Giant swing. Danielson tortured Ortiz with kicks, but Ortiz endured the kicks and outmaneuvered Danielson for a tag to Eddie as Danielson tags Claudio. Kingston hit Claudio with the machine gun chops and a suplex but Claudio took advantage with a short arm lariat and tagged Danielson who hit a flying headbutt for a near fall, while Claudio took out Ortiz. Kingston tried to fight both men and hit a big DDT on Danielson. Ortiz and Eddie double-teamed both Claudio and Danielson followed by stereo dives to the outside. Danielson had Ortiz in a submission but Ortiz reached the ropes while Claudio hit Eddie in the crotch with the ropes. Danielson won the match with a running knee on Ortiz as Claudio made Eddie watch.
