It’s Wednesday, you know what that means. The fantastic WrestleDream event is in the rear-view mirror, and now it’s time for the next pay-per-view cycle. Adam Copeland, formerly known as Edge, will be making his Dynamite debut as he discusses the actions that went down on Sunday. Nick Jackson is in a rare singles outing as he faces long time nemesis Rey Fenix, for the International championship. “The Golden Rockets,” Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega team up once again against two of three of their WrestleDream opponents in Konosuke Takeshita and Sammy Guevara. It was also announced that Toni Storm has a big announcement which will be interesting to watch. Storm will also be in action against Skye Blue.

Chris Jericho & Kenny Omega Backstage Interview

Backstage, Renee Paquette mentioned that four years ago, Jericho and Omega were on opposite sides for the first episode of Dynamite. Jericho spoke about their upcoming match, but before Omega had a chance to speak, Adam Copeland entered the scene. Copeland shook hands with the two competitors as he received a warm welcome to Dynamite by two of AEW’s founding fathers.

Adam Cole, Roderick Strong, and The Kingdom Segment

Adam Cole spent time in Strong’s house as the Kingdom watched on. The audio wasn’t clear due to technical difficulties. However, the segment was showed later in the show once again. Strong had Cole moving furniture in his house as Cole looked visibly annoyed but took it on the chin for his best friend.

Wardlow defeats Griff Garrison

Garrison was in the ring waiting for his opponent in a match that wasn’t announced prior. Wardlow made his way to the ring, as the crowd popped. Wardlow came down focused, he destroyed Garrison and got the victory due to referee stoppage. Wardlow then exited through the crowd as they chanted his name. Wardlow hasn’t been on tv for months, and it’s safe to say that his booking has been inconsistent. This looks like a refresh for the former three-time TNT champion.

Don Callis & Konosuke Takeshita Backstage Interview

Callis announced that Sammy Guevara is not cleared to compete in the tag match later in the night. Kyle Fletcher will take Guevara’s place, as recommended by Will Ospreay.

The Acclaimed & Billy Gunn defeat The Butcher, Blade & Kip Sabian

This was another unannounced match with not much to write home about. Anthony Bowens got the pin on Kip Sabian for the victory.

Toni Storm Segment

Storm was freaking out at RJ City inside of what looked like was her house. Storm is having a midlife crisis, but as RJ City said, she’s not even old. Storm had an epiphany and claimed that she is timeless. Timeless Toni Storm will premiere tonight.

Bullet Club Gold & MJF In-Ring Segment

Juice Robinson and The Gunns came out to call out MJF after their leader Jay White was taken out last week. MJF came out and had the crowd in the palm of his hands. The World Champion listed out all the horrible things he’s done and claimed that he’s always been honest, denying the allegations against him. MJF came into the ring to confront the trio but was ambushed by Jay White. White took the AEW title and ran down the champion at the top of the ramp. White then laid out the challenge to MJF for a title shot at Full Gear. MJF accepted the challenge.

Orange Cassidy & Hook Backstage Interview

Paquette interviewed the pair and talked about how close they were to winning the tag titles. Cassidy was visibly upset at not being a champion. Hook told Cassidy that it should be him in the title match next week against Fenix, not Jon Moxley.

Chris Jericho & Kenny Omega defeat Konosuke Takeshita & Kyle Fletcher

The veterans in Jericho and Omega gave a lot of room for Takeshita and Fletcher to get their stuff in and look like stars in this match. The back-and-forth action was well worked, a nice combination of a codebreaker and one winged angel on Fletcher gave Jericho and Omega the win. As the pair were celebrating, Powerhouse Hobbs came for the ambush. It looks like Hobbs will be joining the Don Callis family. Hobbs destroyed Omega as the Don Callis family taped him to the top rope. Jericho attempted to go for the save but was dispatched quickly. Callis went for the final blow as he hit Omega with a chair on the top of his head. Hobbs is a fantastic talent, but his singles push has been stop and start. Being surrounded by a stable similar to his time with Team Taz could be beneficial for the big man.

MJF Segment in Training Room

MJF was being tended to be a doctor while Paquette was attempting to interview him. The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn made an appearance in the background. Max Caster began to massage MJF before he was stopped by MJF. MJF threatened a restraining order, playing on the weird obsession Caster has for MJF as seen on twitter. MJF then tried to call Adam Cole but was sent to voicemail.

Samoa Joe Vignette

Samoa Joe, wearing a suit with a drink and cigar in hand, talked about being a champion. Joe said that he is focused and MJF earned his respect in their title match.

Toni Storm defeats Skye Blue

“Timeless” Toni Storm came out with smeared lipstick looking distraught. Storm has been a great worker, but this character work has made her a mainstay on tv despite not being in the title scene anymore, she has certainly maximized her minutes on television. Storm picked up the victory on Blue.

Stokely Hathaway Backstage Interview

Hathaway announced that there will be a four way on Rampage with the winner facing Eddie Kingston for the ROH title. The four way will include Johhny TV, Komander, Lince Dorado, and Penta El Zero Miedo.

Adam Copeland Promo

Copeland came out to a thunderous pop. The Rated R Superstar began to discuss some dream matches he would love to have in AEW with fresh opponents. However, the main reason he joined AEW is because he wants to once again team with his lifelong best friend, Christian Cage. Cage came out to the ring and Copeland began to chastise him about attempting to almost conchairto one of his childhood heroes in Sting. Copeland pleaded to Cage that they need to team up once again for the first time in over a decade. Christian slowly went for a hug but then brought the mic up to his mouth and told Copeland to go f*** himself. Cage left the ring and was then flocked by Luchasaraus and Nick Wayne as the show ended. Copeland will face Luchasaurus on a special Tuesday edition of Dynamite, next week.
