AEW Reportedly Expect Toni Storm To Be Out Through 2026 At A Minimum

AEW will reportedly be without Toni Storm for at least the rest of 2026.
On the March 18 edition of AEW Dynamite, fans were initially set to see Toni Storm clash with Marina Shafir in a No Holds Barred match. However, earlier in the night, it was revealed that ‘The Timeless One’ had been laid out backstage, leading to Mina Shirakawa taking her tag team partner’s place against Shafir. With the former AEW Women’s World Champion now written off our screens, it’s been revealed Storm will be out of the ring for quite some time.
According to Fightful Select, it’s believed AEW are readying for Storm to be unavailable through the rest of 2026.
“Originally, Storm was planned to wrestle on March 18, but was not cleared. Since then, we’re told that AEW is prepared for her to not be cleared to wrestle through 2026 at a minimum.”

While we don’t yet know who was behind the attack, the segment left viewers with a myriad of clues as to their identity, including a bouquet of flowers, a kendo stick, and even Mercedes Moné’s neon sign.
Storm’s absence will undoubtedly come as a huge blow to All Elite Wrestling, as the record-setting four-time Women’s World Champion had been a centrepiece of the promotion over the last few years. With the 30-year-old out for a significant amount of time, fans will be keen to see how the company shape their women’s division moving forward.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Toni Storm’s AEW absence as soon as we hear more.
