The competition to secure the leader of Alpha Academy’s signature is heating up.
Chad Gable is undoubtedly one of WWE’s biggest stars right now, with his feud with Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn being one of the company’s hottest acts. In the midst of all this, however, Gable’s WWE contract is reportedly set to expire imminently, and we now know more about the names vying for his signature.
In today’s issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer revealed that WWE have made an excellent offer to keep Gable, although AEW are also said to be interested, with key names within the promotion pushing Tony Khan to make a move.
“Both AEW and WWE have interest in Gable. The only thing we’ve heard is that WWE has made an excellent offer to keep him. AEW is not allowed legally to make an offer until his WWE deal expires. He does have key people in AEW pushing him to Tony Khan. Gable would have to allow his contract to expire to get an offer.”

Gable is set to once again challenge Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental Championship at WWE Clash at the Castle in Glasgow, Scotland, on June 15th, and thus it’ll be interesting to follow these developments as the bout approaches.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on the contract status of Chad Gable as soon as we hear more.
