America’s top two promotions continue to butt heads.
With All Elite Wrestling adding more PPV events to their yearly lineup, many fans are awaiting official announcements regarding the dates and venues for certain events as they look to plan ahead, although we now an interesting update on the holdup for some of these announcements.
According to Dave Meltzer in today’s edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, AEW are not announcing their PPV dates well in advance due to WWE having countered some of their biggest events, with information on shows beyond April being kept top secret.
“One of the reasons AEW PPV dates aren’t being announced well in advance is because of WWE countering Worlds End and All In Texas, as well as other shows. The stuff is being kept top secret and even those internally don’t know of dates and stuff after April.”

At the time of writing, AEW has their Revolution PPV coming up on March 9th in Los Angeles, California, AEW Dynasty set for April 6th at The Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, All In: Texas coming to the Globe Life Field on July 12th, and AEWxNJPW Forbidden Door coming to London, England on August 24th with the venue yet to be revealed.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on AEW’s 2025 pay-per-view schedule as soon as we hear more.
