There are no plans to rewrite history in the upcoming release.

On November 4, AEW will release their first official book, titled ‘This Book Is All Elite: The Inside Story of All Elite Wrestling.’ Since the announcement, many fans have speculated whether Cody Rhodes would be omitted due to the nature of his 2022 departure.

Fightful Select initially reported that AEW had no plans to “rewrite history,” and have now provided further insight into Rhodes’ inclusion in the book.

“Fightful Select got an early review copy of the book, and Cody is covered no less than 15 times throughout the book. To be specific, he’s covered in All In, Double or Nothing and Dynamite sections, his importance to the TNT title, and his feuds with Wardlow, MJF, Chris Jericho, Darby Allin, winning the NWA Worlds Title, and his departure from All Elite Wrestling.”

According to the report, the book includes a quote from AEW commentator Excalibur stating that AEW had to determine what its identity would be without Cody, although the specifics of his departure are not discussed.

Rhodes currently holds the WWE Championship in his second reign, having most recently defended the title against Drew McIntyre at Saturday Night’s Main Event on November 1.

Another current WWE Superstar whose inclusion in the book fans had questioned is CM Punk. According to the report, the former AEW World Champion is mentioned at least half a dozen times, although neither the ‘Brawl Out’ nor ‘Brawl In’ incidents are covered.

While the book is set to include comments from AEW talent and staff, Fightful noted that neither Rhodes nor Punk were interviewed for the project.

Regarding other former AEW talent with strained relationships with the promotion, the report states that the company remains firm in its stance that no one will be written out of its history.

“One AEW source said “Joey Janela is featured in it. Miro is in it. If people had a significant part in AEW’s history, they’re in it.” AEW had been adamant since the announcement of the book that they wouldn’t be “writing anyone out,” the numerous times Fightful asked about those concerns.”

‘This Book Is All Elite: The Inside Story of All Elite Wrestling’ is written by esteemed pro wrestling historian and New York Times bestselling author Keith Elliot Greenberg and will be officially released on November 4 by Random House Worlds.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Cody Rhodes and CM Punk’s inclusion in AEW’s upcoming book release as soon as we hear more.
