Ever since the announcement of the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door show, many have questioned whether Bushiroad’s joshi promotion World Wonder Ring Stardom may also begin to work with All Elite Wrestling in the future.
Various reports earlier in the year had confirmed that both sides were interested in working together, however only now has a recent update from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter confirmed that the two sides have entered discussions over a possible deal, with Toni Storm seemingly being Stardom’s priority.
“There has been communication between AEW and Stardom of late. There are no deals but we’re told to expect something. There had been no talks in the past. We do know that Stardom is interested in getting dates with some AEW women, notably Toni Storm. But we were told to expect some stuff to happen. Storm has said she’s interested in working there as well.”

Storm, prior to joining WWE, served as one of Stardom’s top stars, winning both the Cinderella Tournament and 5 Star GP in 2017, as well as capturing the World of Stardom Championship that same year.
We certainly hope that the two sides are able to come to an agreement, with an agreement between the two presenting a number of potential dream matches to be made down the line.
