An update has emerged on AJ Lee’s contract status following her return.
On last night’s SmackDown, AJ Lee made her stunning return to WWE, appearing the first time in over a decade. Those in the Allstate Arena came unglued when ‘Let’s Light It Up’ blasted in the arena as the former Divas Champion to the aid of her husband CM Punk against Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch. Now, in the wake of her comeback, more information has now surfaced regarding her contract.
Per Bodyslam, it’s believed that AJ Lee has inked a multi-year, full-time deal with WWE, meaning her return will be more than just a one-off.

Given how her return played out, it seems inevitable that Lee’s first match back will be a mixed tag team match that sees her team with CM Punk to take on Rollins and Lynch. On this, PWInsider Elite have revealed that AJ is believed to be appearing on this week’s RAW to set up her return to the ring at WrestlePalooza.
“The word at last night’s SmackDown was that AJ Lee will be appearing on this Monday’s Raw to seal the deal and set up her and CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch at the 9/20 WWE WrestlePalooza event.”

Shortly after her return, WWE published a video of AJ putting pen to paper on her new deal, with it now seeming as if Lee is fully committed to her next run. With the roster as strong as it is, fans will be hoping the 38-year-old can tick off some dream matches now she’s back in the company.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on AJ Lee’s WWE return as soon as we hear more.
