AJ Lee Says It Would Be Great To Have Saraya Back In WWE

AJ Lee wants Saraya to come back to WWE.

In March 2025, Saraya announced she was leaving AEW, with speculation then starting around whether she could be set for a WWE return. Over a year later, we’re yet to see the 33-year-old back in the ring, though the Brit previously revealed she was set to start training again from January 2026. With some still keeping their fingers crossed with regard to a possible return, one of Saraya’s past rivals has emphasised how much she hopes to see her back in WWE.

Speaking to Sports Illustrated, AJ Lee said she’d want Saraya back in WWE.

“It would be great. She’s so talented and I knew it from day one. We’d always joke that I was her fairy godmother and I just took her under my wing and tried to protect her. And just to see her now, it would be kind of heartwarming and healing, and she would be a great addition to this locker room. I think this place has really come a long way and the women work together so beautifully, and they’re so supportive. I would love for her to experience just how fun it is now.”

The pair have history dating back to the RAW after WrestleMania 30, when the star then known as Paige knocked off Lee to win the Divas Championship on her first night on the main roster. They’d go on to trade the title between them as the duo both picked up two reigns with the title across 2014.

It’s also worth noting that Paige actually teamed up with AJ Lee in what turned out to be Lee’s final pay-per-view match for over 10 years. At WrestleMania 31, they emerged successful against The Bella Twins, and, save for a six-women tag team match the following night, we wouldn’t see Lee wrestle again until Wrestlepalooza 2025.
