We now have an idea as to when The Phenomenal One will return.
AJ Styles has been absent from WWE SmackDown for several. He last wrestled in a losing effort against Finn Balor and looked to be gearing up towards a feud with Roman Reigns before being written off TV, not making an appearance on the blue brand since being attacked by Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso of The Bloodline.
Per Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, it’s been indicated that fans may see AJ Styles return to WWE as soon as this week, with the plan at the minute being for the 46-year-old to be involved with this week’s SmackDown.
“AJ Styles is gonna be back on Friday. Or he’s supposed to be back on Friday – he was supposed to be back a couple of weeks ago and wasn’t back. But that’s the plan right now.”

As mentioned, Styles was involved in a storyline with The Bloodline the last time he featured on the Friday night show. As of now, it’s unclear as to whether the company will choose to continue AJ’s feud with Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa upon his comeback, or whether he will be steered in a new direction with the likes of Randy Orton now chasing The Tribal Chief and his gold.
