In the year 2024, WWE continues to define its new era under the initiative of Triple H.

WWE recently shipped NXT’s Charlie Dempsey to All Japan on somewhat of a mini-excursion that saw him unsuccessfully contend for their Triple Crown on January 3rd’s New Year Giant Series against Katsuhiko Nakajima.

Dave Meltzer was quizzed on a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio about the likelihood of additional members of the WWE rosters being sent to Japan, or if Charlie Dempsey’s trip to All Japan was a one-and-done deal.

“I was told it’s an ongoing thing, although there are certainly people in All Japan who have mixed feelings on it. But right now, that’s the president of All Japan [decision]. And, you know, WWE, they’ve got a deal going right now,”

WWE’s interest in forming business relationships across the Japan isn’t seemingly limited to just one promotion, as it’s been reported that Stamford has an interest in collaboration with New Japan under the new presidency of Hiroshi Tanahashi, as well as World Wonder Ring STARDOM.

While competing for AJPW, Charlie Dempsey would tag with Yuma Anzai, obtaining victories over the opposing teams of LEONA & Tatsumi Fujinami and Hideki Suzuki & Katsuhiko Nakajima.
