All Japan Pro Wrestling unveiled the field for their Real World Tag League during their massive Korakuen Hall event on Thursday.

This year’s tag team tournament will feature 12 teams separated into two blocks of six. The league will begin on November 15 from Korakuen Hall.

All matches in the tournament will have a 30-minute time limit. A win will net the tag team two points, a draw one, and a loss zero. The teams with the most points in each block will make it to the finals on December 6.

A Block will feature the reigning AJPW World Tag Team Champions, Jun and Rei Saito, who will look to win their second Tag League. In order to do so, they will have to get through a tough field, including the reigning All Asia Tag Team Champions, MUSASHI and Seiki Yoshioka.

Joining them will be HAVOC’s Xyon and Oddyssey, Go Shiozaki and Suwama, Ryuki Honda and Masayuki Kono, and Kento Miyahara and Up Town’s Hyo Ogawa.

Last year’s Tag League winners, The Titans of Calamity, Ren Ayabe and Talos, will look to become the first duo to go back to back since Kento Miyahara and Yuma Aoyagi did in 2020 and 2021. For that, though, they will have to go through a tough group of challengers, most notably Yuma Anzai and Yuma Aoyagi.

Joining them are Dan Tamura and Seigo Tachibana, Daisuke Sekimoto and Kengo Mashimo, HAVOC’s Shotaro Ashino and Cal Bloom, and Hideki Suzuki and WWE EVOLVE’s GM Timothy Thatcher.

The matchups on November 15 will be the following:

  • A Block: Jun Saito & Rei Saito vs. Go Shiozaki & Suwama
  • A Block: Oddyssey & Xyon vs. Kento Miyahara & Hyo Ogawa
  • B Block: Ren Ayabe & Talos vs. Daisuke Sekimoto & Kengo Mashimo
  • B Block: Yuma Anzai & Yuma Aoyagi vs. Hideki Suzuki & Timothy Thatcher

The Real World Tag League, also known as the World’s Strongest Determination League, began way back in 1977, making this year’s tournament the 50th iteration. Practically every major wrestler the promotion has ever had has won it, from Giant Baba, Stan Hansen, Jumbo Tsuruta, Bruiser Brody, Genuchiru Tenryu, all four Pillars of Heaven, and everyone down the line.
