Andrade is reportedly out of WWE.
During the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble, Andrade made his return to WWE. That April, he was drafted to the SmackDown brand, and it wasn’t long before his best of seven series with Carmelo Hayes began, leading both men to a shot at the United States Championship. Most recently, Andrade teamed with Rey Fenix in a six-team TLC match for the WWE Tag Team Championship. However, it now appears as if Andrade’s second run with WWE is over.
After Mark (@WrestleMobs) of BodySlam.net revealed that he had been moved to the company’s alumni section, Fightful Select are now reporting that Andrade has left WWE. It’s said that it wasn’t a case of his contract being allowed to expire, and his departure isn’t connected to further exits.
“Andrade has left WWE. We were told that this would not have been a case of his contract simply expiring, as he had more than 18 months on his deal when he signed last year. Fightful Select is told that his departure is isolated and not connected to any additional cuts.”

As for how quickly Andrade’s departure came together, it’s indicated that it had been in the works for at least a week, with this affecting his post-SummerSlam creative plans.
“One WWE source indicated that the departure had been in the works for at least a week, and that this did affect immediate creative plans after Summerslam, which was his last appearance.”

In a further development, sources have told Jon Alba of The Takedown On SI that WWE effectively released Andrade, with it not believed to be a mutual decision.

With the news still fresh, little is known about what could be next for Andrade. It’s possible the Mexican makes a return to CMLL, and there will certainly be fans eager to see him come back to AEW. For now, though, the situation remains one to keep an eye on as more is likely to emerge in the coming days.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Andrade’s WWE exit as soon as we hear more.
