Another WWE talent is nearing their contract expiry.

Just over the last week or so, news has surfaced regarding the contract status’ of many WWE stars. Following on from Becky Lynch departing the company at the end of her deal, it became known that both Ricochet and Chad Gable could find themselves entering the free agent market in the near future, and it now seems as if another WWE roster member is edging towards the end of their current contract.

Per Fightful Select, it’s believed that Angel Garza’s current WWE contract is set to expire on August 1, leaving less than two months before he could potentially become a free agent.

Angel Garza, a former WWE Cruiserweight Champion is set to have his WWE contract expire on August 1.”

-Fightful Select

Fightful specify that negotiations have already taken place between the two sides and that the 31-year-old currently has an offer on the table from WWE, which he is yet to accept.

Angel is currently part of the SmackDown brand, where he teams with Berto as part of Legado del Fantasma. He last competed on the blue brand on May 17 but has recently been featured in backstage segments that have seen him try to recruit Andrade into his faction.

Given that WWE have tabled an offer to the former Cruiserweight Champion, it’s clear that they have an interest in keeping Garza on their books, although it remains to be seen as to whether he’ll be with the company past August of this year.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Angel Garza’s WWE contract status as soon as we hear more.
