The former Ring of Honor World Champion is reportedly ready to make his return to TV.
Bandido has been out of action since suffering a broken wrist on June 16th, 2023, in a match against Konosuke Takeshita. After undergoing surgery and originally being expected to return in September, Bandido’s injury worsened, and thus, he underwent a second surgery in December.
Speaking on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed that the luchador is now cleared to return to action, noting that last night’s episode of AEW Dynamite could’ve provided the company with the perfect opportunity.
“Bandido should be back right around now. The last I heard about him was May and obviously May is just about over. I don’t know what the situation is with him. Tonight would have been a good night to debut him in that Casino Gauntlet because it would have been a big pop, he would have been fantastic. I don’t even know if he’s on their radar right now because sometimes when guys disappear they’re just kind of forgotten about in a lot of ways,”

Bandido has been on AEW’s books since November 2022 after an impressive showing against Chris Jericho, although his injury woes have prevented him from reaching his full potential thus far.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on the future plans for Bandido as soon as we hear more.
