Bandido Says Chris Jericho Is Someone Who Changed His Life

Bandido expresses gratitude for his time working with Chris Jericho in AEW.
Nowadays, Bandido is one of the most exciting wrestlers on AEW’s roster. However, due to a two-year layoff due to injury, the star wasn’t able to showcase what he could do to the company’s global audience until his return in 2025. After getting cleared, Bandido’s first match came as part of the Jericho Cruise, and he’d later enter into a feud with Y2J which saw him begin his reign as ROH World Champion, something which is still ongoing today. Now, Bandido has looked back on working with Chris Jericho.
Speaking with Denise Salcedo, Bandido opened up on working with Chris Jericho, expressing immense gratitude for their on-screen rivalry.
“Working with him was awesome. When I see him, it’s like, ‘Thank you very much for everything.’ Because I think Jericho was one of the persons who changed my life. I’m very grateful with him. The way how he worked with me and my family and everybody, it’s amazing. We are very thankful with him.”

After Bandido lost his first two attempts to win the ROH World Championship, their feud came to a head at AEW Dynasty 2024. In a match which saw the Mexican star’s mask pitted against Jericho’s title, Bandido was able to capture the gold after the referee restarted the match. As of writing, his run with the championship has reached 404 days, though he’s set to defend it tonight at ROH Supercard of Honor against Blake Christian.
At Double Or Nothing, Bandido will face Swerve Strickland in the first round of this year’s Owen Hart Tournament. As for Jericho, he’ll be one of 14 men taking part in Stadium Stampede, as the former AEW World Champion looks for revenge on The Demand.
