The former United States Champion could be set for a main roster return.
Last year’s WWE Draft saw Baron Corbin remain as a free agent, leading to him ultimately returning to NXT. Corbin would initially continue as a singles competitor and challenged for the NXT Championship unsuccessfully on two occasions before forming a successful tag team with Bron Breakker as the Wolf Dogs, capturing the NXT Tag Team Championship on February 13th.
With this year’s Draft set to begin on this Friday’s episode of SmackDown, PWInsider Elite have now provided an update on future plans for Corbin, revealing that he’s set to be at the Draft edition of both SmackDown and RAW, and thus its possible that he could be set for a return to the main roster.
“We are told Baron Corbin is slated to be at the WWE Draft for Smackdown this week and next week’s Raw, so it’s possible.”

Corbin and Breakker would lose the NXT Tag Team Championship to Axiom and Nathan Frazer on April 9th, with Breakker announcing his departure from the brand shortly afterwards.
Whether the pair will continue their partnership should Corbin be drafted to the main roster this week remains to be seen, however it certainly appears as though the pair were increasingly leaning babyface towards the latter stages of their run.
