Bayley On The Possibility Of Wrestling Mercedes Moné Again: I Would Hope So, I Don’t Know Deep Down

Bayley isn’t sure if she’ll wrestle Mercedes Moné again.

Since their iconic match at NXT TakeOver Brooklyn in 2015, the respective careers of Bayley and Mercedes Moné have been intrinsically linked. However, given Mercedes signed with All Elite Wrestling in 2023, it’s unclear if the pair will get the chance to sword together again. It now seems as if ‘The Role Model’ herself isn’t sure whether she’ll meet ‘The CEO’ in the ring in the future, although she’s keen to not lose hope of a reunion somewhere down the line.

Speaking to TalkSport, Bayley said she used to feel deep down that she would wrestle Moné again, though she’s not as sure now.

“I would hope so. I don’t know deep down. I used to feel deep down that – Yes. But now I don’t know. Just all I can do is hold on to hope, which is what I’m best at. And as long as she’s happy, I’m happy.”

Bayley and Moné have faced each other in multiple world title matches through the years, but they’re equally as strong when paired as a team. The Boss ‘n’ Hug Connection became the first to hold the WWE Tag Team Championships when the titles were reintroduced in 2019, and their time alongside each other made for a vital part of the company’s programming throughout the pandemic. While it doesn’t look likely that they’ll share the ring anytime soon, you can truly never say never in wrestling, so whether they’re able to face each other again remains to be seen.
