The EST is looking forward to her return.
Bianca Belair has been out of action since suffering a broken knuckle joint injury during her WWE Women’s World Championship triple threat match against IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 41 in April. While reports last week suggested that WWE expects her to return by early 2026, details about her recovery have been limited.
Appearing on BET’s 106 & Sports, Belair reflected on how the injury occurred and admitted she has been surprised by how long the recovery process has taken, adding that she hopes to make her return soon.
“I broke my knuckle, broke the joint. It’s something that I thought was going to be a very straightforward 8 to 12 weeks — it’s been almost six months at this point. It was WrestleMania. I was in a Triple Threat with Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky, and we were going to the top rope, because that’s what we do. And we came off the top rope, and Rhea landed straight on my hand, and it just crushed everything in my finger. So it’s been a crazy journey. Being an athlete and having an injury, you rely on your body, and now my body’s not doing what it’s supposed to do. But, I’m hoping I can be back in the ring soon.”

IYO SKY successfully retained the Women’s World Championship in the match before later losing the title to Naomi in July. The championship was subsequently vacated after Naomi announced her pregnancy in August, with Stephanie Vaquer defeating IYO SKY at WWE: Wrestlepalooza on September 20 to claim the title.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Bianca Belair’s injury status as soon as we hear more, and we continue to wish her all the best in her recovery.
